FAQ

Why is the 4th Annual Cardio Renal Connections (CRC) Conference canceled?

The planners of the CRC and the Office of CME have been closely monitoring updates and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as state and local governments. We have also been actively following travel advisories and restrictions being placed on health care providers and hospitals and institutions in the U.S. and globally. The health, safety and well-being of our members, staff, exhibitors, faculty, patients and other stakeholders is of paramount importance.

Are all ancillary events associated with CRC canceled as well?

All ancillary events, including the faculty dinner, independent satellite meetings, and exhibitors are cancelled.

Will CRC be postponed until a later date or rescheduled?

We are working on rescheduling the meeting for early fall and will notify you with the dates.

Will attendees, speakers, and exhibitors be refunded for hotel costs?

Attendees, speakers, and exhibitors who booked with a hotel or third party are responsible for contacting the hotel/third party directly to cancel their reservations.

Guest speakers who had a reservation with the hotel in the CRC room block will have their reservation automatically cancelled by the Office of CME.

Will attendees and exhibitors be refunded for airline tickets?

Please contact your airline directly regarding ticket cancellations. If you purchased travel insurance, please contact your provider for information and next steps.

Will paid attendee and exhibitor registrations be refunded?

We will refund registration fees in full to all attendees. We are working on rescheduling the meeting for early fall and will notify you with the dates. If you would like us to retain your registration fees for the rescheduled date, please email our office at cme@uthscsa.edu by Friday, March 20, 2020.

Will exhibitors be refunded for booth space?

We will contact you to discuss the handling of your funds.

Now that the physical conference is cancelled, should I stop preparing my poster abstract?

We strongly encourage poster session presenters to continue with preparations. We will be updating the website in the coming days with rescheduled dates.
